Kent Animal Shelter

Kent Animal Shelter, with funding provided by PetSmart Charities, the largest funder of animal welfare efforts in North America, is introducing the “Precious, Not Parents” campaign. Kent Animal Shelter will provide $20 spay and neuter surgeries for puppies and kittens under six months of age during the month of June. Please visit www.KentAnimalShelter.com.

Citizens for Access Rights

Citizens for Access Rights  or CfAR will host their annual fundraiser on Thursday at 7 PM at The Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett. The fundraiser will feature live music, auction items, raffle and more. The cost will be $20 for CfAR members renewing at the door, $10 for current 2014 members and $25 for non-members. Take Care Of Our Island

East End Hospice hosts “Take Care of Our Island,” a cocktail party and auction at the Shelter Island Yacht Club North Pier in Shelter Island Heights on Saturday from 5 to 8 PM. The cost is $85 per person and $50 for junior (under the age of 41). For more info call Chrissy at 631-288-7080. 

C.A.S.T. Food Drive

The C.A.S.T. (Community Action Southold Town) office is busy preparing for the upcoming, Saturday food drive. The drive will take place at Greenport IGA from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Southold IGA from 9:45 AM to 1:45 PM, King Kullen, Cutchogue from 10 AM to noon, and Waldbaums, Mattituck from 10:15 AM to 2:15 PM.

Live @Club Starlight

Ross School will host the eleventh annual Live @Club Starlight gala on Saturday at 6 PM to raise funds for Ross School programs and scholarships. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by a silent and live auction, dinner, dancing and a live musical performance by the renowned musical group, KC and the Sunshine Band. Sing East End

Sing East End 2014 to benefit East End Hospice will take place at Vail Leavitt in Riverhead on Saturday at 7 PM. All proceeds benefit East End Hospice’s Good Grief Program. Open to all ages. Wildlife Rescue Center

The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center’s 17th annual silent auction for wildlife takes place Sunday from 2 to 5 PM at the Southampton Elks Club. Guests will meet with wildlife ambassadors, enjoy music by Skylar and have appetizers along with a cash bar. ARF Garden Tour

On June 21 the 28th Annual ARF Garden Tour “Summer Solstice in Springs,” takes place with a self-guided tour of six private gardens in Springs. Wellness Foundation

Wellness Foundation of East Hampton will host its third annual summer benefit on Saturday, June 21, from 6 to 8 PM at a private East Hampton Village residence overlooking Hook Pond. The evening will honor Wellness Foundation’s 2014 Illumination Award recipient Rip Esselstyn.

Guests will enjoy delicious vegan hors d’oeuvres, wine, and live music by Jane Hastay, Peter Martin Weiss & John Cataletto, all under a beautiful tent.

Stony Hill Stables

Stony Hill Stables will host its annual Benefit for the Stony Hill Stables Foundation, a not-for-profit organization with the express purpose of promoting excellence in equine sports through riding education and competitive opportunities for children and young adults in the East End. The Annual Stony Hill Stables Foundation Benefit Cocktail Party will be held on the evening of Saturday, June 21, from 6 to 8 PM on the pastoral grounds of Stony Hill Stables in Amagansett.

Attendees will enjoy a special Dressage Exhibition with narration, an exciting Pony Drill Team Presentation performed by the impressive young riders of Stony Hill Stables, and a rousing Dressage Pas de Deux finale performed by Grand Prix riders.

Navy SEAL Foundation

Navy Beach in Montauk is honoring Montauk’s Naval history and continuing its partnership with the Navy SEAL Foundation to help raise awareness and funds with a second annual fundraiser for the organization. The Navy SEAL Foundation provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families.

On Saturday, June 21 from 4 to 6 PM, Navy Beach will host a cocktail party to benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation. The cocktail party, “Honoring our Warriors. Supporting their Families,” will be the official kick-off to a second season of fundraising efforts at the restaurant.

For a $40 entry donation, guests will be able to mingle with retired Navy SEALs and Navy SEAL Foundation representatives as well as others from the Naval Special Warfare community, while enjoying live music by Nancy Atlas, wines provided by Turquoise Life, beer from Brooklyn Brewery, and signature light bites. Following the event, the restaurant will be open for regular dinner service, and reservations are recommended.

Beaches & Bays Gala

The Nature Conservancy’s “Nature Inspires!” Beaches & Bays Gala takes place on June 28, honoring renowned landscape artist Bobbie Braun and The Neuwirth Foundation, and celebrating 20 years of support by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.

Among the many points of inspiration at the annual gala are a very special en plein air art show curated by Silas Marder and a special art “action” painting that will invite guests to translate inspiration into actions.

The premiere of “My Favorite Island” featuring Jimmy Buffett, dancing to superstar Nashville band “The Super T Revue,” and a locally-inspired dinner by Glorious Food will all be part of the fun on the grounds of The Nature Conservancy’s Center for Conservation in East Hampton.
