Open Spaces IV

Plein Air Peconic’s “Open Spaces IV,” an exhibition and sale of photographs and paintings inspired by the stunning beauty of the Hamptons landscape, is on display at Ashawagh Hall in Springs this weekend. An artists reception will take place on Saturday from 5 to 8 PM. A Mother's Day coffee on Sunday will be held from 11 AM to 12:30 PM.

Freestyle

The Crazy Monkey Gallery in Amagansett will feature the art of one of its long time members, Beth Barry, and the art of a guest artist, Lieve Thiers, in the upcoming show “Freestyle.” The title of the show indicates the abstract, playful nature of the artists’ works. An opening reception will take place Saturday from 5 to 7 PM. The show runs through June 2.

Also on view will be a group exhibit of art by Andrea McCafferty, Barbara Bilotta, Daniel Schoenheimer, Jim Hayden, Mark E. Zimmerman, Bobbie Braun, Lance Corey, June Kaplan, Ellyn Tucker, Beth O’Donnell, Bo Parsons, Richard Mothes and Melissa Hin.

Rosalind Brenner

An exhibition by Rosalind Brenner at the Madelle Hegeler Semerjian Gallery in the lower level of the Rogers Memorial Library in Southampton is on display through May 30.

Rosalie Dimon Gallery

An art show featuring artists Anahi DeCanio and Michael Maas is on display at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery at the Jamesport Manor Inn. Presented by East End Arts. An opening reception will take place on June 1 from 3 to 5 PM. The show runs through July 30. Visit www.eastendarts.org.

Early Girl Farm

“Photographs from Early Girl Farm,” works by Andrea Parker is on display at the Art Gallery at the Quogue Library. The show runs through May 28.    

Jennifer Bartlett

The Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill presents Jennifer Bartlett: History of the Universe. The show will run through July 13.

Spring Fusion

The 5th Annual Retreat Art Show “Spring Fusion” is on display at the Richard J. Demato Fine Arts Gallery in Sag Harbor. The show includes a dynamic grouping of artwork featuring Retreat Art Contest competition winners, Mary Chairamonte, Sylvia Hommert and Kerry Sharkey-Miller, as well as the honorable mentions, Gina Altadonna, Janet Culbertson and Patricia Park, all to raise awareness and funds for support of The Retreat. The Drawing Room in East Hampton presents Linda Etcoff “New Drawings” and Laurie Lambrecht “Photographs & Knitted Sketches” through May 18.

Abstraction

“Abstraction: Four Perspectives” is on display at the Levitas Center for the Arts at Southampton Cultural Center starting Monday. The exhibit, curated by Arlene Bujese, includes East End artists Josh Dayton, Tracy Harris, David Geiser, and Fulvio Massi. The show runs through May 20.

Elizabeth Dow

Vered Gallery presents an exhibition of recent paintings by painter and designer Elizabeth Dow with “Heaven and Earth.” Dow’s paintings are visual snap shots of nature and reflection that explore the delicate balance of color, motion, and surface. Art & Furniture

The Art & Furniture of Mark Larson & Dan Cramer opens the 2014 season at Pritam & Eames in East Hampton and can be viewed through July 8. The Minnesota-based artists have collaborated on a series of furniture pieces for their show, which will also include paintings and bowls by Mark Larson. Gallery hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday from noon to 4 PM.

Season Of Love

“Season Of Love,” an exhibition of original abstract expressionist paintings and digital photographs celebrating love, by Susan Levin, will be on view at Sotheby’s International Realty in Sag Harbor. The show runs through Sunday.
