Qi Xu

The 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Rising Stars Piano Series concludes with 19 year old Chinese pianist Qi Xu on Saturday at 7 PM at Southampton Cultural Center. $15 general admission; students under 21 no charge. Available in advance at or at the door 30 minutes prior to the performance.

Speaking of Furniture

Pritam & Eames in East Hampton will host a book signing of the just-published Speaking of Furniture: Conversations with 14 American Masters on Saturday from 3 to 5 PM. The book presents the candid stories of 14 exceptionally gifted people who chose furniture as a vehicle for artistic expression and, in turn, how their careers shaped a powerful movement in 20th-century decorative arts.
