North Fork Garden

The Longhouse presents a North Fork Garden Tour tomorrow at the home of Dennis Schrader and Bill Smith and a winery tour of the Shinn Estate Vineyards. The cost is $75 and $60 for Longhouse members. For tickets call Joanne Sohn 631-329-3568.

Fall Festival

The 33rd Annual Hallockville Fall Festival and Craft Show will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM at Hallockville Museum in Riverhead. Support the non-profit museum farm and enjoy our agricultural traditions at its largest fundraiser of the year.

Folk art demonstrations including wood carving, decoy carving, basket weaving, quilting, blacksmithing and more. Tractor pull and display by Long Island Antique Power Association. Quilt show in the Naugles Barn by the Eastern Long Island Quilters Guild. Shop 50 artisan vendors offering handmade jewelry, crafts, decorative pieces, unique collectibles and treasures galore.

Children’s activities and games, historic home tours, hayrides and livestock displays, there is something for all ages. Live music throughout the day by the Eastbound Freight Bluegrass Band. Local food, wine and beer.

Southampton Animal Shelter

The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation will have its fourth annual benefit at the Boardy Barn in Hampton Bays on Saturday from 6 to 10 PM. The event includes a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, silent auction, door prizes, buffet and a discount cash bar. Tickets are $25 or $30 at the door. Music by Vivian and the Merrymakers. Keith Sea Greene

The Keith Sea Greene Invitational pig roast & Horseshow tournament will take place on Saturday from noon to 8 PM. The tournament starts at 1 PM at the North Sea Community House. There will be a bouncy land for kids, music by DJ Biggie, DJ Cred and guest appearance by Dollarman. The cost is $40 per person and $50 to play in the tournament, both tickets include food. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, silent auction and Chinese auction. Children under 12 are free.

Keith Greene, a Hamptons local, died last August leaving behind his wife and two young children. All proceeds from the event will benefit Keith's children Avery and Aiden Sea Greene. Tickets and raffles can be purchased at

Montauk Food Pantry

On Sunday Montauk residents Leyla Marchetto and Sheila Rooney, together with the help of Maureen Rutkowski and Montauk Youth, are hosting the second annual 5K around Fort Pond to benefit the Montauk Food Pantry. Registration for this year’s event will open at 7:30 AM (rain or shine) with a start time of 8:30 AM, at the Gazebo on the Green in downtown Montauk. Adults and children of all ages are welcome, as are strollers, scooters and leashed dogs. Suggested participation donations are $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. The organizers will also be accepting non-perishable food item donations for the food pantry during the event. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place finishers, and there will also be a door prize for one lucky participant.

Fall Golf Classic 

The 2013 Fall Golf Classic raises funds to help The Retreat continue to provide shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, education, and an emergency 24 hour hotline free of charge to victims of domestic violence, will take place on Monday at South Fork Country Club in Amagansett. 7:30 AM Breakfast and 9 AM shotgun start. Fun Shoot

Third Annual East Hampton Sportsmen’s Alliance Fun Shoot will take place on September 22 from noon to 5 PM at Maidstone Gun Club in East Hampton. Proceeds will benefit The East Hampton Sportmen’s Alliance. For information call 631- 774-0036.

SUP Race Series

Hamptons “SUP Race Series” Season Finale, A Paddle Race for the Ocean Rescue Squad will take place on October 12. Participants and spectators are welcome to come out in support of the East Hampton Volunteer Ocean Rescue Squad, a collective of remarkable men and women who provide safety coverage at water sports events in the Hamptons. This is an impressive SUP race course set up and supported by the Squad that offers a nice mix of user friendliness and technical challenges. The race kicks off at 9 AM at the Lazy Point Launch at Napeague Harbor in Amagansett. Registration begins at 7:30 AM. Post-race awards, raffles and refreshments will be available at the finish area at Eddie Ecker State Park in Montauk.
