The Southampton Social Club has been known as the go-to spot for the summer months in Southampton Village. Great news . . . It’s now open for the fall too. And they’re offering an all night, $25 prix-fixe. Designed as a prohibition style-1920s-speakeasy, the decor offers the perfect setting for a romantic evening, or a night out with friends. The French-American inspired menu by Executive Chef Scott Kampf, is exceptional.

Looking over the extensive cocktail menu, we decided to try the “lindy hop” a delicious concoction of belvedere vodka, fresh lemon, cranberry, orange juice, bitters, and simple syrup, served on the rocks.

For appetizers we tried the sesame encrusted Ahi tuna with a wakame seaweed salad, lotus chips, wasabi caviar, and a sweet soy reduction, which was a delicious combination of flavors. The jumbo lump crab cake, which was pan seared with Rhode Island lump crab, a dijon aioli and charred lemon, was also a big hit at the table.

For our entrees we decided on a fantastic dish of grilled sweet Thai tuna with an almond risotto and stir-fry vegetables. Also, the half maple roasted chicken with cranberry and apple stuffing and haricot vert was a spectacular dish, filled with bold fall flavors.

Don’t leave without trying the dessert. Brooklyn’s famous Junior’s cheesecakes is deconstructed with macerated strawberries, and homemade whipped cream. The Tate’s chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches with french vanilla, chocolate fudge and caramel cream are also an great choice.

Specials go on through the week at the venue, along with the $25 prix-fixe. Happy hour takes place each night from 5 to 8 PM and includes discounts on beer, wines by the glass and all specialty cocktails. International Cuisine Wednesdays offers diners a new specialty cuisine each week. Also offered on Wednesdays, 50 percent off of all wines by the bottle over $50. On Thursday the bar offers an all night long happy hour along with live entertainment, half price appetizers at the bar and drink specials. On Friday there is live music and a late night happy hour from midnight to 4 AM. On Saturday there is a DJ and late night happy hour from midnight to 4 AM.
