Reginald Walther Conrad

Died: Tuesday, November 07, 2006
Age: 93
Reginald Walther Conrad, a lifelong resident of East Hampton, died at his home on November 7.

Mr. Conrad worked for I.Y. Halsey Dodge dealership and followed his fatherís footsteps as a carpenter. He and his father built Mr. Conrad and his wife Evelynís home on Sunset Lane. During World War I, the Conrads moved to Baltimore, MD so Mr. Conrad could work for Martinís Aircraft Co. While there, their daughter Beth was born. The Conrads owned Conrad Sales & Service on Railroad Ave. in East Hampton.

Mr. Conradís hobbies included owning boats, fishing, clamming, scalloping, golfing and making miniature wooden boats, ducks, birds and lobster pots.

He was predeceased by his wife, and is survived by his children, Beth Aery and Bill Conrad; his grandchildren, Troy Conrad, Anna Bridge and Mara Tippett; a great-grandchild, Emma Tippett, and several nieces and nephews.

A wake was held last Wednesday at Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton. Funeral services were held last Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in East Hampton. Interment was at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
