Stan A. Shulda, a resident of New York City, died on September 30 of pancreatic cancer.
Mr. Shulda was a graduate of Hofstra University. He received a B.A. and M.B.A. in finance and a minor in psychology.
Mr. Shulda is survived by his parents, Stanley and Helen Szychulda of East Hampton. “When we recall our son’s favorite pastimes as a child what comes to mind is fishing off Clearwater Beach in Springs or on our boat on Gardiners Bay.” In his later years he developed a passion for theology, philosophy and the metaphysical. “Our son was an extremely intellectual and spiritual person.”
He is also survived by his sister Catherine Bass of York Harbor Maine and East Hampton.
“I was always close to my brother, but in the past decade we developed an even stronger bond with each other. I consider him a best friend.”
Ms. Bass’s husband, Robert, recalls Stan Shulda as being a generous person with a heart of gold. “I could not have asked for a better brother-in-law.”
Mr. Shulda is also survived by another sister, Elizabeth Lomma of Cape Elizabeth, Maine and his two nephews and one niece.
Prayer services were held on October 2 at the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home.
