Dr. Paul J. Moss, a Montauk resident for 28 years, died on August 7 at the Riverhead Care Center.
Dr. Moss was born to Robert and Bertha Moss on January 16, 1916 in New York City. He graduated from the New York University Dental College in 1940.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the army and was part of the first Medical Unit to liberate the Dachau concentration camp. He was also an accomplished fencer, winner of the Canadian National Championships 1953 First Alternate to the U.S. Olympic team in 1954.
Dr. Moss is survived by wife Gail Moss, daughter Dr. Tamara Moss Khan, and two grandchildren: Zubin and Julia Khan of Sands Point, N.Y.
