homas Joseph Corrigan Sr. of Riverhead died on June 9 at the Peconic Bay Medical Center. He was born on October 25, 1932 in Amityville, NY, to Thomas John Corrigan and Catherine OíConnor. He is survived by his sons Thomas Jr. and Frank Saviano, his daughters Theresa Malakatas and Donna Loso, his sister Joan Hanley, his brother-in-law Sonny Gallo, and 8 grandchildren.
Mr. Corrigan served in the U.S. army from 1954-1956 in the Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and at the Nationís Capital. Mr. Corrigan was also the owner and operator of Riverhead Flower Shop for many years.
Visitation was held last Sunday at the Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday at St. John the Evangelist R.CC. Church. Reverend Thomas Coby officiated. Interment followed in Riverhead Cemetery.
