Grace A. Wilson

Died: Monday, March 20, 2006
Grace A. Wilson, a long-time resident of East Hampton, died on March 20 at Southampton Hospital.

She was born on July 8, 1914, in Brooklyn to Charles and Anne (nee Repetti) De Martini. She graduated from Columbia University.

Mrs. Wilson was a dental hygienist and was proud to have reached her 91st birthday maintaining all of her natural teeth.

She was a true nature lover, avid gardener, and beachcomber. A conservationist, she appears in the Parrish Art Museum documentary, At Face Value, A Portrait of a Community. “Living in East Hampton, surrounded by nature,” she said, “was like a little piece of heaven here on earth.”

She was predeceased by her husband, Woodrow Lee Wilson. She is survived by two daughters, Woodrin Montclare of East Hampton and Darralyn Donatuti of Leiden, Netherlands. In addition she leaves behind five grandchildren, Dawn and Melissa Donatuti and Daman, Jason, and Brandon Montclare and his wife Dr. Jin Montclare.

Visiting hours were on March 22 at the Yardley and Pino Funeral Home. Graveside services were held last Thursday at Fort Hill Cemetery in Montauk.
