Last night, at a gathering of many neighbors who were assembled for a holiday barbecue and awaited the fireworks in Montauk, talk turned to the goings-on of the Town of East Hampton. This was our field of commonality as we were all taxpayers — some full time and some summer residents. The exchange touched on many areas but it struck me that this group all agreed, without reservation, that a town employee deserved a great deal of acknowledgement because of his courteous and most helpful ways in dealing with the public that used the facilities at the Town Recycling Center. His name is Frank and everyone felt we should thank him for going out of his way to assist us.
All too often people write to complain. This letter is to praise Frank and thank him as his services are greatly appreciated. The town is lucky to have him in their employ.
