An article in Newsday proclaims, "Latinos, Jews Forge A Coalition" stating common immigrant experiences and growing anti-Latino and anti-Semitic sentiments as the reason for this bonding.
Horse Feathers, a pure 1930's big lie predicated on the premise; the larger the falsehood, the better the chance of being believed.
Much of the supposed anti-Latino wrath is directed at our own venal, corrupt legislators, who like traitorous, Tijuana Tim Bishop are degrading our American citizenship to a sneak over our nation's borders.
Much to the supposed anti-Semitic acts are invented fiction. It's an old, old Middle European Communistic/Socialistic ploy to enlist new members and generate new money. Raising money is the purpose of this coalition. The joining of diverse parties is instituted when one side, the American Jewish Committee in this case, is having slow going. The discredited "Workers of the World Unite" is still their theme song. Jewish immigrants:
A. Came here legally, within our system
B. They brought with them a cornucopia of diverse talents to enrich this land
The illegal Latino will sink their effort by being taken in by this supposed alliance which may well activate "The Christian Right."
All told this coalition will weaken America and in doing so weaken the U.S. shield that has aided in keeping Israel afloat.
Editor's Note: You've neglected to mention the real possibility that Newsday's story was based on a faulty premise.
