Starting with the installation of a Republican President to the Executive branch of our country by the Republican 5/4 majority of the Supreme Court, the Judicial branch of our country; the writing was on the wall.
And this they did regardless of the majority of American voters expressing their wishes to the contrary at the polls and of course with the help of Florida Catherine Harris's machinations.
Now we have the Executive Branch conducting raids on the Legislative branch. It seems obvious that Democrat William Jefferson is a crook storing a cool $90,000 in his freezer.
Admittedly small potatoes compared to the non-stop Republican money scandals but he is a Democrat. And indeed a crook, as well as a convenient smokescreen. Even Republican Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert vehemently opposes the raid as being unconstitutional. Forget about Congressional oversight by the in-their-pocket Congress; that's gone.
But whatever happened to the Equal Separation of Power? The Judiciary branch selects our Executive leader and the Executive branch conducts a raid on Congress, the Legislative branch. Perhaps the next illegal raid will be by the Republican majority Legislative Branch raiding the office of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the Supreme Court on suspicion of liberalism.
Where does it stop and why was it ever allowed to start? The present morph of the Republican Party has turned our country reputation for decency into a joke and the three branches acting as one has made our constitution equally laughable. To further emphasize the extremes to which this administration would trample on our constitution, Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales and FBI Director Robert S. Muller III threaten to resign if their breach of the constitution is reversed.
What a great opportunity to rid our country of three mistakes by merely adhering to our constitution.
