It's a shame that a petition was circulated last week that grossly misrepresented the town's lighting code revision. Homeowners will not be "required to replace" all their fixtures, they only need (and only IF a code complaint is lodged or a light is deemed dangerous for safety) to re-aim, shield, or change a bulb if it's over 60 watts on their house.
This requirement is already in our current code, and in fact, the revision is a "loosening up" of the current code. If anyone signed that petition, it was a misrepresentation of the code. I'd be happy to talk to anyone with concerns about their lighting.
