Nightmares

Dear Editor,

I probably shouldn't read newspapers before attempting to sleep but I did and had nightmares about the deer-torturing incident. Actually I dreamed that night of the perpetrators being tied upside down to a tree (fastened by their feet for two days) while being counseled by well-meaning professionals and in the end they were set free (that was the nightmare).

Maybe GW is responsible for the mass degradation of the populace. However, wouldn't it benefit a village to take some action (jail time and counseling), plus maybe a one-year internship cleaning cages in an animal shelter to attempt the humanizing of barbarians? It's worth a try!

Otherwise they may get bored with animal torture, and you know what's next!

Editor's Note: There doesn't seem to be much urgency to arrest the perpetrators. In fact, a police spokesman this week professed not to know anything about it. Note to town officials and police: a heinous crime has occurred. The community wants the young people who had trucks with big tires, according to one eyewitness, arrested. Have you questioned anyone?
