Dear Editor:

Exclusive of the thrill of risking one's life to cross the border to the US from Mexico, there must be another reason for the flood of Mexicans visiting our beautiful country other than the climate. Of course it is to work. It's to work and earn money enough to support themselves and a family. That's what we all do. However, if they had those jobs in Mexico they would not have to migrate north to find them.

This administration has made an art form out of out-sourcing. Even our production is produced elsewhere, only to be imported back to our country. Since we rely on other far off countries with cheaper labor, ergo greater profits to our corporations, why not invest primarily in nearby Mexico to do what we had in the past, done ourselves. Shirts and shoes, radios and recorders, trucks and trailers, whatever. If they can be made in India, Indonesia, Pakistan, What-ever-the-hell-istan, that produce our goods, why can't we invest and have them made by our neighbor to the immediate south? At least it would give them a reason to stay in their own country and earn a living while stemming the tide of aliens rushing north to find jobs. Who knows? Perhaps if it works well, there will be Americans crossing over to Mexico to seek jobs which are no longer available in the US.
