Corporate Shill

Dear Editor:

A longtime active Republican, AARP's CEO William D. Novelli, in a recent AARP newsletter gave some interesting, though not surprising, insights as to this administration's concern, or rather lack of it, about the general welfare of the elderly of our country as well as the healthcare of all Americans in general. Of the $2.7 trillion 2007 budget that Bush sent to Congress, there are cuts for Medicare and Medicaid, the environment, housing, education, and such, the very things in which the majority of Americans had always been so proud to excel.

What has continued to be a priority however are the tax cuts for the minority, but wealthiest Americans, and privatizing Social Security for his corporate base. What does it take for the voters to realize that they had been hoodwinked into allowing a corporate shill to sit in the White House, or rather Crawford Texas, as the people's President of the United States of America?
