Kids have been eating too much junk food everyday for lunch and snacks during school hours. For example, cupcakes, cookies, chips and other sweets with a big amount of sugar, salt and tons of fat! They eat it everyday instead of eating the healthy stuff, like bananas, apples or peaches and other fruits and veggies. It becomes a big habit for them.
Yet other students bring the right choices of food to eat or a juice to drink. Some parents are worried that their child will have too much calories in them and only let them eat healthy, which is a good thing but they should be able to have some chips or junk food once in a while. To help your child bring in a healthy drink to school, use good choices that aren't so bad for them like vitamin water, or once in a while let them bring in Gatorade, and it is especially healthy to have them bring in a nice big cool bottle of water to school. It is also good to have your child bring in the right choices of a lunch or snack such as apple, banana, a fruit cup, and a peach and or a plum.
