Bush Bashers

Dear Editor:

Is anyone naive enough to think that if it were not for the upcoming mid-term elections, the lock-step Republican congress would ever have fallen out of cadence with Bush, regardless of his Dubai Debacle?! This, the most recent of the blatant Bush blunders was recognized as being outrageously stupid even by those previously duped "Americans" and they are the ones that will be voting. This is the political analogy of the rats deserting a sinking ship. Mutiny on the Port Dubai.

Now they can all go back to their constituents and say that they followed the wishes of the people they represent even at the unprecedented risk of not playing, "Follow the Leader" with the Bully Pulpit. However, once the elections are over they will all once again, fall back in line. Indeed, it is that unquestioning unified conformance that has given the Republican party its muscle. My Party, Right or wrong; truth and facts be damned. That is the strength of the Republican party; blind allegiance. Back to the ship they will scurry, for 2008 is only two years away.
