Amateur Radio entry level FCC licensing class

The East Hampton Amateur Radio Club and Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) announces a five week course to obtain a Technician Class Ham Radio License. The course will teach the elements of radio required to pass the examination for the entry level Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Technician license. No Morse Code is required for the technician license. Persons who obtain the technician license can operate ham radios on certain bands that will allow them to talk directly or through a repeater system to other hams in their community as well as around the country and worldwide through link systems. They can also experiment with digital modes of communications.

MAY 15TH SUNDAY 10:00 AM TO 12:00 PM

THE TIME AND DATE FOR THE FIFTH CLASS INCLUDING REVIEW AND TESTING (35 MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS) WILL BE DETERMINED BY ALL PARTICPANTS ONCE THE CLASS IS UNDERWAY.

There is a charge of $29.99 for the ARRL Technician Licensing Manual and a $15.00 fee for the examination. We will also be offering upgrade exams for General and Extra class licenses during the exam period. The advanced license testing will be open to anyone qualified.
