Southampton Animal Shelter

The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation announced the appointment of their first Executive Director, Nick Mastronardi.  He has been working with the Foundation since October.  An advisor to the esteemed Longmont Humane Society in Longmont, CO, Mastronardi oversaw their move into a state-of-the-art facility and played an important role in the national reputation the Society has gained for its progressive sheltering techniques.

Mastronardi is married and has four children, four dogs and two cats! Naturally, all of the animals are rescues, as Nick has been involved with animal rescue for over 25 years.

The Clamshell Foundation

The Clamshell Foundation would like to thank those who donated and participated in The SandCastle Contest and The Great Bonac Fireworks Show last summer. As a result of the two events, they were able to make the following grants to the people, programs and projects here in East Hampton; $3,000 Book Scholarships to HS Seniors, $700 to Local Food Banks & Churches, $750 to KidFEST, $750 to Camp Good Grief and $200 to the East Hampton Historical Society.
