Winter Works

The Eric Firestone Gallery in East Hampton presents the group exhibition "Winter Works" with an opening reception from 5 to 7:30 PM. The show consists of an expansive selection of works by selected artists including the painters Jorge Fick and Douglas Denniston, sculptors Thomas Morin, Eduardo Chavez, Paul Harris and MARE 139 and extraordinary mid-century jewelry by Rolph Scarlett. Also on exhibit, rare drawings by New York's groundbreaking underground artists COCO 144, SNAKE I, NOVA and more, as well as vintage photographs by Anton Perich, Erica Lenard, Henry Chalfant and the renown Jack Stewart, whose documentation of urban art and subway graffiti at its most radical point, the early 1970s, is widely acknowledged as the most significant chronicle on the evolution of subway art. On view through March 27.
