Rick's sister and Mom searched the family photos and came up with this shot: the least amount of hair Rick has ever had on his head. At the end of the month, that will change, and all his hair will come off.

East Hampton's own Andy Sabin, who has quietly and without fanfare helped a lot of charitable causes, came up big for the dogs whose lives are on the line — $1000. That's a true local giving back to his community.

Also a special thanks to our corporate sponsors, Claps and Ciletti dentists (in Southold and East Quogue — they are excellent dentists by the way, and without Hamptons' prices), Westhampton Tee-Shirts, and one of our first sponsors, East Hampton Fence.

A huge thank you, from Rick, RSVP and all the dogs to: Kathleen Meyerhoff, Helene Schmitz, Arthur and Betsy Strauss, C-Lo Girl Reporter Carey London, Lawrence F. and Judy Gately Sullivan, Robert and Phyllis Howell in good ol' Brooklyn, and Paul and Nancy Buscemi.

Heartfelt thanks to:

Barbara Ann and Edward Ireton Jr., Richard J. Goldberg, Gayle Tudisco, Sarah Kearns Posillico, Patricia Brickley, Mary and John Ebbets, JoAnne Siegmund, Kathleen Meyerhoff, Paul Yolango, Simone Monahan, Joan Diedoff , Richard and Deborah Ann Smidt, Bill Gardiner, David Rubenstein, David Flam, Rubenstein, Margaret Smidt, Irwin Billman, Harry Bates, John Coar, Julia Abrams and Harry K. Abrams Jr.

If you'd like to help save a dog's life, and watch Rick humiliate himself in the process (though some would argue that happens every week) please send a check made out to RSVP c/o to The Independent at 74 Montauk Highway, Suite 19, East Hampton NY 11937.

The Tally:

We need 900 bucks, folks. Let's get this done.
