Music & A Cup O' Joe

Bob Barta and friends will bring a night of fun to Eastenders Coffee House in Riverhead from 8 to 11 p.m. Tomorrow, Shannon and Natalie are the featured performers from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., followed by an open mic till 11. On Saturday, The Vendettas will return from 8 to 11 p.m.

Jim & Nanci

Karaoke night is every Thursday with Jim & Nanci and Kenny, the singing bartender, at Gurney's Inn in Montauk. No cover; drink specials. Then dance those nights away with DJ Des and Linda on Friday and Saturday. No cover/21 & over.

Talkhouse Tunes

The Annie Morgan Band will kick up some tunes at The Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett at 10 p.m.; $10. Tomorrow, go to irie heights with Winston Irie at 10 p.m.; $10. On Sunday, Little Head Thinks will bring down the house at 10 p.m.; $10.

Jazz Standards @ CoCo

Go to CoCo restaurant (in the Maidstone Arms, East Hampton) and listen to pianist Jane Hastay and bassist Peter Martin Weiss every Friday from 7 to 11 p.m. Jazz standards by Gershwin, Ellington and Porter are just a few of the tunes they play.

A Steamy Tell-all

Alice Denham will read from and sign copies of her new illustrated memoir, Sleeping with Bad Boys: Literary New York in the Fifties and Sixties, at Canio's Books in Sag Harbor at 6 p.m.

Closing Exhibit

Today is the last day of The Parrish Art Museum's exhibition, "Roy Lichtenstein: American Indian Encounters," featuring more than 30 paintings, prints, drawings and sculptures, including a rare sketchbook of American Indian design motifs by the artist.


January 2

Selected Images

Artist Mary Gardner will once again be exhibiting "Selected Images," featuring figures, animals, florals and local scenes in oil, watercolor and pastel at the Bridgehampton Historical Society. On view through January 30.

Ongoing Events:

• Spanierman Gallery's "Art for the New Collector V" features vintage, modern and contemporary paintings, watercolors, drawings and sculptures from the 1860s to the present, both on exhibit and for sale. On view through January 21, 2007. Also on view is "Long Island Landscapes" through January 21, 2007 and "American Paintings, 1850-1965," through January 13, 2007.

• Guild Hall in East Hampton is waiving museum admission fees to its exhibit "Our Town: Fritz Leddy Photographs," featuring 100 photos by Francis D. (Fritz) Leddy. Also on view is "Our Town Today: Contemporary Visions of East Hampton," featuring black and white and color prints by East End photographers. Both exhibits will be on view through January 7, 2007. • The Suffolk County Historical Society exhibition "Caroline M. Bell and the Peconic Bay Impressionists" is the first comprehensive exhibition devoted to the North Fork painter, her peers and students. It's organized & curated by Terry Wallace, owner of Wallace Gallery in East Hampton. For more info, call the Society at 727-2881.
