The Mattituck-Laurel Library is hosting a bus trip to NYC. The holiday special leaves Mattituck at 8 a.m. The price is $20 for adults, $15 for kids. Drop off points include Rockefeller Center, the Sony Tech Lab, The Hayden Planetarium, The Metropolitan Museum of Art (where the admission for kids under 12 is free) and the Museum of Natural History. The Parrish Art Museum in Southampton will hold vacation week workshops for kids beginning with "Painting Your way through the Seasons." Morning sessions are held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and afternoon sessions run 1:30 to 4 p.m. Classes will be divided by age, so that older and younger siblings are able to attend classes at the same time but within their own age group. Register now for the Southampton Town Parks and Recreation Department's "Rhythm Recreation Dance" programs held at the town's Jackson Avenue, Hampton Bays facility.
