On Thursdays, aspiring singers can belt out tunes on karaoke night with Jim & Nanci and Kenny, the singing bartender, at Gurney's Inn in Montauk. No cover; drink specials. Then dance with DJ Des and Linda on Friday and Saturday nights. No cover/21 & over.

Music & Storytelling

Blending jazz and blues with storytelling, Starlight Tyler & Company, featuring Jon Finney & Brian LeClerc, delivers a soulful sound every Thursday at Tom McBrien's in Hampton Bays, from 7 to 10 p.m.

Coming of Age

The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center will screen the coming-of-age drama Quinceanera today and tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 1 and 4 p.m. The film follows a young Latino woman in Echo Park, Los Angeles whose life goes haywire as she prepares for her traditional 15th birthday party. Marilyn Monroe Exposed

The Vered Gallery in East Hampton is featuring never printed and unique prints by photographer Bert Stern in "Marilyn in the Hamptons." The exhibit will run through November 10.

Life Changes

Passages, three one-act plays about life changes will be presented at the Vail-Leavitt Music Hall in Riverhead at 8 p.m.

Get Cozy at CoCo

Pianist Jane Hastay and bassist Peter Martin Weiss appear every Friday, from 7 to 11 p.m., at CoCo Restaurant in the Maidstone Arms in East Hampton. The couple performs jazz standards by Gershwin, Ellington, Porter and more. On Saturdays Herb Levine plays the piano and classical guitar, from 7 to 11 p.m.

Thoughtful Thriller

The Parrish Art Museum in Southampton will screen Paradise Now at 7 p.m. This thoughtful thriller brings compassion & intelligence to a tragic story of two suicide bombers from the West Bank. Tickets: $5 members / $8 non-members.

Talkhouse Tunes

The Strawbs will play at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett at 8 p.m. Tickets: $35/$25. Robert Morgan will follow at 10:30 p.m.; $10. Tomorrow night, Second Shift will entertain the crowd at 8 p.m.; $10. Same Difference will follow suite at 10 p.m.; $10.

Movie Nights

The Picture Show at Bay Street Theatre will screen A Place in the Sun at 8 p.m. From Here to Eternity will be screened tomorrow at 8 p.m. Tickets: $5.

Mid Century Homage

Go back in time . . . with Spanierman Gallery in East Hampton with the opening of "Works on Paper: Abstraction at Mid Century," featuring 25 works on paper by American artists spanning a period of 40 years. Also on view are "On Paper" and "Long Island Abstraction," which pay homage to the contribution Long Island artists have made to American art over the last 50 years.

Crossing Boundaries

Think locally. Design globally. Interior designer and author Vincente Wolf will sign copies of his new book Crossing Boundaries: A Global Vision of Design at East End Books in East Hampton. A reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m.

Blue Skies Ball

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, so support the Lung Cancer Alliance with dinner, dancing and an auction in the 2nd Annual Blue Skies Ball at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. Kids' Music Festival Tour

The WHBPAC presents Jamarama Live! – its first national music festival for children and families at 11 a.m. with pre-show activities beginning at 10 a.m. This children's music festival tour incorporates interactive attractions & cross-generational music.
