Be a Turtle for Halloween
Mama Lee & Friends headline a Halloween costume party at Turtle Crossing on Friday, beginning at 5:30 p.m., and those who come in costume will be rewarded with free house margaritas and appetizers. Day of the Dead Menu

Big Band Swing Dance
A big band swing dance will accompany a four-course buffet dinner at East Wind on November 9 from 7 to 11 p.m. The Trevor Davison 10-piece band will perform swing tunes, as well as ballroom, Latin, 50s, Motown, and disco dance music. A Golden Thanksgiving
For those not interested in slaving over a hot stove this Thanksgiving, The Golden Pear Café will prepare dinners for pick-up or delivery. Side dishes such as red mashed potatoes, fresh cornbread, French green beans, butternut squash puree and homemade cranberry sauce are available, along with free-range turkeys, whole turkeys ($79.95), and hand-carved turkey breast.
