The China Study

Dr. T. Colin Campbell will lead a seminar on his book The China Study tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. at the East Hampton Middle School auditorium. In the book, Campbell, the project director of the China-Oxford-Cornell Diet and Health Project, a 20-year study of nutrition and health, discusses how diet affects health. Other topics will include obesity, common cancers, how to eat and the medical industry. Healthy refreshments will be served and babysitting will be available. Preparing for an Emergency

Nurses and other EMS providers are invited to take part in an emergency nursing and disaster preparedness conference sponsored by Peconic Bay Medical Center and Stony Brook University School of nursing on November 2 at Martha Clara Vineyard on Sound Ave. in Riverhead. The daylong conference will include seminars on information gleaned from the September 11 attacks and information about the possibility of pandemic flu. The cost is $99 for the conference, which runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call Nicole Tamulski at 548-6492 for more information.
