The Inside Man is worth taking a look at now that it is on DVD and tape. The bank heist movie that may not be a bank heist movie stars Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and supporting actors Jodie Foster and Christopher Plummer. It's hard for a movie to go wrong with a fine cast like that.
The premise is interesting, the twists believable, and the surprises about "inside men and women" do pay off. And besides all that, the movie is entertaining with no brutality — though there is dealing with so-called criminals, cops, hostage negotiators, politicians and SWAT teams. What a recipe; there's no gore and more movie than you would expect.
We give it three tennis balls and urge you to take a look. The town will be so busy with the film festival, so watching a tape may very well be the answer.
