The Town of East Hampton Department of Human Services' Family Resource Center will hold a workshop called "Parenting The Exceptional Child" from 7 to 9 p.m. at the East Hampton Day Care Center on Gingerbread Lane Extension, part of a continuing series of workshops for parents. Call 324-4947.

Friday, October 20

An arts, crafts and explorative play program for two and three-year olds will be held on Fridays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Amagansett Youth Park on Abrahams Path. The fee is $20; call 324-2417.

"Springs in the Old Days," a showing of slide photographs from the Society's collection, will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Springs Community Presbyterian Church, on the corner of Old Stone Highway and Springs Fireplace Rd. The Society's annual meeting will be held at 7 p.m. All are welcome.

A challenging, 12.5 mile hike on the Paumanok Path, the first in a four part hike of the entire 42 mile trail, sponsored by the East Hampton Trails Preservation Society, will begin at 9 a.m. Meet at the intersection of Soak Hides Rd. and Springy Banks Rd. in East Hampton. The Annual Halloween Family Fun Day sponsored by the East Hampton Kiwanis Club will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The American Legion Post in Amagansett. Admission is $5; the rain date is October 29.
