Employment Expo

An employment expo will be held at Atlantis Marine World Aquarium on October 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Fifty local employers are expected to attend the event, sponsored by The Riverhead Chamber of Commerce, the Suffolk County/Town of Riverhead Empire Zone, the Riverhead Business Improvement District and the N.Y. State Department of Labor. Space is limited; participation is on a first come, first serve basis. Flu Shots

Sepulveda Recipient of Award

East Hampton resident Isabel Sepulveda was awarded the New York State First Senate District Hispanic Heritage Award recently by State Senator Kenneth LaValle. The award was created by the state senate in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15. Sepulveda founded and publishes the bilingual newspaper VozLatina and is the co-founder of OLA, a Hispanic advocacy group on the East End.
