Lobster Lovers' Special

Duryea's retail seafood shop in Montauk will offer its Lobster Lovers' special this fall. Fans of the crustaceans get two 1.25 lb. two-clawed lobsters, one quart of Duryea's own "Lobster Deck" brand New England clam chowder and two pounds of mussels for $38.95. Columbus Day Lunch Special

Turtle Crossing, now open Thursday through Monday, will serve lunch from noon to 5 p.m. next Monday, Columbus Day. Prix Fixe at Publick

Southampton Publick House has announced two prix fixe specials for the fall and winter seasons. A Spooktacular Halloween

The Inn & Spa at East Wind rings in Halloween with its third annual "Spooktacular" costume bash in the Grand Ballroom on October 28 from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Tickets are $55 per person and include $1000 in prizes for costumes, an open bar, a holiday-inspired dinner — including eggplant skellatini, spooky herb crusted salmon and graveyard goulash. Author's Roundtable Dinner

Long Island authors James & Kay Salter, Jennifer Egan, Christopher Cerf and Paige Peterson will offer their literary-minded thoughts in an author's roundtable dinner series to be held at Alison's Restaurant October 19, November 3 and December 7, at

Potato Dishes Wanted

Ross School is looking for local restaurants to contribute a potato dish to be featured in the Grand Potato Tasting Tent at the 19th annual Potato Festival Fundraiser on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival will feature potato games, a potato sack fashion show, a petting zoo, live music and more. The Beacon Open Until Mid-October
