Sweet & Rowdy
Rowdy Hall has some new tastes on the dessert menu, including red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting ($6.50), pineapple upside down cake with toasted coconut ($6), peanut butter chocolate tart with whipped cream ($6.50), and apple walnut crisp with whipped cream ($6). Fall Fixe at Femina
Della Femina has a fall prix fixe menu for $30, offered Sunday through Thursday from 6 p.m. until close. Offerings will include sweet corn chowder, crispy rock shrimp salad, Maine day boat halibut, natural chicken with ginger jus, flourless Valrhona chocolate soufflé, and Bridgehampton peach crisp. JL East in Winter Hibernation
JL East is closed for the winter season; the restaurant will reopen in the spring for the 2007 season. It will be open for private parties and to the public for New Year's Eve. For more information, call 324-1100.
A Digital Publick
The Southampton Publick House has expanded and updated its website. The site is divided into a section for the restaurant and a section for Southampton Ales & Lagers, which features a description of all lines of bottled brews, a reviews section featuring all press announcements and awards, an online store, and a list of places where the beer can be purchased. Fundraiser at Turtle Crossing
Turtle Crossing will host a Texas BBQ benefit to support the restoration of The Moran Studio House & Garden, the former home of landscape artist Thomas Moran. The BBQ will be held Saturday at 6 p.m.; there will be cocktails and a tour of the studio at 5 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person for the tour and cocktails, $300 for the entire evening. Prix Fixe at Desmond's
Desmond's Restaurant located within The Inn at East Wind is offering a prix fixe menu for $22.95 per person Sunday through Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. Offerings include chicken satay with Asian vegetable noodles, steamed mussels, grilled Atlantic salmon, pan- roasted free range chicken, and apple stuffed pork tenderloin. The restaurant is also offering a special Halloween menu along with a ticket to the Darkside Haunted House for $21.95 for the month of October. Film & Food
