Groovin' at Gurneys

Don't miss comedians Rene Delorenzo, Jeff Norris and Joseph Anthony at Gurney's Inn tonight at 9 p.m. Tickets are $15. Those eager for more laughs and a good time should attend karaoke night the following evening with Jim & Nancy and Kenny the Singing Bartender! Same time, same place. No cover charge and exciting drink specials for all. Additionally, Fridays and Saturdays feature dancing with DJs Des and Linda (no cover charge — 21 and over). So go get your groove on.

Project Vibe Plays Publick House

Project Vibe, a funky reggae and rock band, will play every Friday night at the Southampton Publick House, starting at 10:30. During the performance, the Publick House will offer $2 bottles of Southampton Secret Ale and South-ampton IPA. For more details, call 283-6500.

Romance at Co Co's

Pianist Jane Hastay and bassist Peter Martin appear every Friday night from 7 to 11 p.m. at Co Co's Restaurant in the Maidstone Arms. The married couple will perform songs by Gershwin, Ellington, Jobim and others, with vocal and instrumental arrangements sure to spark the perfect date. Co Co's is an intimate setting just right for enjoying romantic ballads, bossa novas, Broadway melodies and timeless selections from the 1930's to the present.

Crazy Nights at Cigar Bar

The Cigar Bar is open seven days a week until 4 a.m. and boasts an exciting calendar of events. Start the week off right with "Maniac Mondays," featuring Blueberry Mojitos and Passionfruit Margaritas. Tuesday night is Industry night with half priced drinks for those in the hospitality business. More than Coffee at East Enders

Bob Barta and friends will play at the East Enders Coffee House on East Main Street in Riverhead tomorrow from 8 to 11 p.m. Then, on Friday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., Nina will regale crowds with acoustic, alternative folk music. Later that evening, from 8:30 to 11 p.m., Nina will host an open mic open to all musicians and poets. Come show your talent.

A Political Gig

The Gigshack in Montauk presents local politician Jay Schneiderman and his band Jayakari every Saturday through September from 6 to 10 p.m. Come listen to their version of the Montauk Blues! Food, wine and 39 varieties of beer are available.

The Talk of the Town

The Stephen Talkhouse presents an exciting line-up of diverse artists and bands this week. Kettle Joe's Psychedelic Swamp Review kicks off the festivities tonight at 9 p.m. $10 admission fee.
