Dune Grass, a four piece bluegrass-pop-folk group, will perform a concert of American music this Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Orient Congregational Church, 23045 Main Road, Orient. There is a suggested donation of $10, which will benefit the mission of the church.
At The Gigshack
Local politician, Jay Schneiderman and his band Jayakari, will be playing their local version of the Montauk Blues every Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. through September at the Gigshack, 728 Main Street, Montauk. Call 855-0958.
On The Green
The Lone Sharks will be kicking this month off at the free open air concerts at the Gazebo "On the Green" this Monday. Later this month, the Hot Wax will play golden oldies, Caroline Doctorow will play some country folk, and Vivian and the Merrymakers, a steel drum band, will end the month. The free concerts are every Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Preservation Hall Jazz Band
The Preservation Hall Jazz Band will be playing in the auditorium of the Southold High School at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for this hi-energy, foot-stomping, hand clapping Dixieland Jazz sound is $40 for adults and $10 for students under 18. Call 734-6320.
The Cigar Bar is offering exotic drink specials, like Blueberry Mojitos and Passionfruit Margaritas, for its Maniac Mondays. For all those in the bar business, the Cigar Bar is offering half price house drinks for Industry Tuesdays. Every Wednesday the DJ plays favorites from the 80's and 90's. Each Friday is an All Night Dance Party with the latest dance and hip hop until 4 a.m.
Publick House Treats
Enjoy $2 bottles of Southampton Secret Ale and Southampton IPA while listening to the funky reggae & rock band Project Vibe at the Publick House every Friday night at 10. Project Vibe is made up of former members of the local band Shockshine. Also at Publick House, ladies' night is every Wednesday, with $2 beer & wine, from 9 to 11 p.m. and DJ Lucienne plays dance hits on Saturday nights.
