JL East Tea Dance
JL East will host a tea dance cocktail party on the patio and in the ocean room on Sunday from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Come off the beach and enjoy hors d'oeuvres from Peter Dunlop. A DJ will be spinning tunes and specialty cocktails will be served. JL East, East Hampton, 325-1100 .
Michaels' at Maidstone Beach has introduced a new special on Tuesday nights: BBQ Night. Effen Good Fridays
The Cigar Bar in Sag Harbor is having an Effen Good Friday this Friday from
9 to 10 p.m. The event features free cocktails made with Effen Vodka with door profits to benefit the Group for the South Fork — plus, part of the proceeds from all cocktails made with Effen purchased until 4 a.m. will be donated to the GSF. The DJ will spin favorite hip-hop and dance tunes until 4 a.m.
Lobster Bake at Gurney's
Every Wednesday night during July and August Gurney's Inn Resort and Spa will be holding a Lobster Bake from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The cost will be $45 for adults and $25 for children under 12. Gurney's Inn Resort and Spa, Montauk; 668-2345.
Wine and Food Festival
The Second Annual Hamptons Wine and Food Festival will take place on August 12 and 13 at Ross School in East Hampton. This culinary entertainment event features live cooking demonstrations and seminars throughout the weekend. Tickets range from $100 per person for a two-hour/two seminar pass each day to $125 for the Grand Tasting to $500 per person for the entire weekend of festivities. A limited number of platinum passes will be available for $650 per person, which includes the Friday night VIP party and Sunday brunch; 613-3110.
Lunch at The Palm
The East Hampton Palm Restaurant is now open for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 3 p.m. Lunch offerings will include an assortment of signature Palm items, such as its famous jumbo Nova Scotia lobster, USDA prime-aged beef and its classic Italian dishes. In addition to this summer's new weekend lunch offerings, guests are also invited to join in on celebrating the restaurant's 80th anniversary with a special 80 days of jumbo lobster. Available for Sunday lunch and dinner on Sundays through Thursdays, the "Palm-sized Feast for Two" will include the famous Palm jumbo Nova Scotia lobster split for two, two salads, any two of the Palm signature sized side dishes as well as coffee or tea. The lobster feast will be specially priced at $75 four-pound lobster, $85 five-pound lobster, and $95 six-pound lobster.
