The Marvelous Marvelettes
The Motown group The Marvelettes, whose eight Top Ten hits included "Don't Mess With Bill" and "Too Many Fish In The Sea," will perform at the South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center's annual summer benefit, to be held Saturday from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at the museum on the Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor turnpike in Bridgehampton. A Little Ellington
Pianist Jane Hastay and bassist Peter Martin Weiss perform every Friday from 7 to 11 p.m. at CoCo's Restaurant at The Maidstone Arms Inn in East Hampton. The duo performs songs by Gershwin, Ellington, Jobim, and others, as well as bossa novas and Broadway melodies. Call 324-5006.
Richie Havens At Talkhouse
Kashmir, the Led Zeppelin tribute band kicks things off at The Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett this week, performing at 9 p.m. tomorrow ($15). Richie Havens is the headliner on Friday at
8 p.m. ($50), followed by Hot Lava at 10 ($15), and Winston Irie at 11 ($15). Saturday brings The Marshall Crenshaw Power Trio at 8 p.m. ($35), followed by Dana Fuchs at 10:30 ($25). At Eastenders Coffee House in Riverhead Bob Barta and Friends will perform some jazzy jams from 8 to
11 p.m. On Friday, Tom Walter will be the featured performer from 7:30 to
8:30 p.m. and he will host a open mic for all musicians and poets from 8:30 to 11 p.m. The band Who Are Those Guys will heat things up on Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m. Call 727-2656.
