Seeking Bachelorettes

The reality show "The Bachelor" is holding a casting call in the Hamptons for contestants for the 12th edition of the show, when 25 women will head to Rome, Italy to compete for the affections of Prince Lorenzo Borghese. The producers are looking for ambitious, beautiful, successful women between the ages of 21 and 31 who are single and looking to settle down. Casting calls will be held at the Southampton Publick House at 4 p.m. on June 10, at JL East in East Hampton at 9 p.m. on June 10, and at The Southampton Inn Courtyard Cafe on June 11 at 2 p.m. For more information, visit thebachelor.tv.

Pasta, Steak, Prime Rib, Oh My!

Michael's at Maidstone Beach will be offering specials Wednesdays through Saturdays. On Wednesdays from 5-10 p.m. a three course steak dinner is $20.95; a three course pasta dinner rings in at $17.95 on Thursday evenings. Publick's New Menu Items

The Publick House has added a number of new items to their menu in time for the summer season. Appetizers and main courses such as mesquite chicken quesadillas ($9), shrimp cocktail ($10), sliced sirloin sandwiches ($15), and fussili primavera with garlic and olive oil ($13) are joined by desserts such as pound cake ($5) and caramel apple pie ($5). Correction-Oakland's Specials

In last week's Main Course (5/24) we misprinted the details about Oakland's weekday specials. The lobster bash is now offered Mondays and Tuesdays and the price fixe special menu is available Wednesdays and Thursdays. We apologize for the error. Newness At Nick & Toni's

Soft shell crab, pea shoots, shaved fennel, and ramp aioli ($18) and beef carpaccio, shaved white asparagus, grana padano, and truffle oil ($18) are two of the new appetizers at Nick & Toni's this summer. On the entree front, Colorado rack of lamb, Yukon gold potatoes, sweet peas, and mint pesto ($48) and local sea scallops, asparagus, pea shoots, and caper brown butter ($34) are the newest additions for the warmer months. Benefit At JLX Bistro

Twenty volunteers will become jailbirds of sorts tomorrow as part of a benefit to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association at JLX Bistro. The volunteers will be arrested and put into a jail costume; once their mug shots have been taken, they will post bail. That money will be donated to the MDA and the volunteers will receive a complimentary meal from the restaurant. JLX Bistro, 16 Main Street, Sag Harbor, 725-9100.
