Game Highlights: Joe Finora pitched a five-hitter and allowed only two walks while striking out seven to record his third straight win. Don Fahey provided the winning run when his two-run single in the top of the fifth inning put Mattituck in front 4-0.

Wednesday, May 10

Riverhead 14, Bellport 6

Game Highlights: Riverhead qualified for the playoffs as Kevin Curtis went 2-for-5 with a triple and three RBI and Steve Cumberbatch added a 2-for-5 afternoon that included a double and three runs batted in.

Thursday, May 11

Mattituck 3, Babylon 2

Game Highlights: Brian Tardif pitched a gem, allowing no earned runs in six innings while striking out nine as Mattituck moved into first place in the League VII standings. Alex Sirico hit a two-run homer, his fourth of the season, in the third inning to give the Tuckers a 2-0 lead.

Wednesday, May 10

Mattituck 18, John Glenn 0

Game Highlights: Annie Stype did not allow a walk, struck out eight Lady Knights batters and allowed only two hits to record her third shutout of the season. Stephanie Pesce hit a grand slam in the top of the fourth inning as Mattituck took an 11-0 lead.

Thursday, May 11

Mattituck 10, Babylon 6

Game Highlights: Stephanie Pesce continued her torrid hitting pace; going 2-for-3 with two runs scored as Mattituck moved into sole possession of first place in League VII.

Bishop McGann/Mercy 11, Stony Brook 1

Game Highlights: Grace Chilton led the Lady Monarchs, going 4-for-4 at the plate with three runs scored to keep Mercy's playoff hopes alive.
