Game Highlights:

Senior pitcher Joe Finora won his third straight start and Brian King went 3-for-4 with three RBI.

Thursday, May 4

Mattituck 7, Mt. Sinai 3

Game Highlights:

The Tuckers moved to within one win of clinching a playoff spot as Kyle Pumillo allowed only one earned run and three hits over five innings. Bryan Tardif went 3-for-4 with one RBI and a run scored for Mattituck (8-3 in League VII).

Riverhead 10, Half Hollow Hills West 3

Game Highlights:

Kevin Curtis went 3-for-3 with three RBI for Riverhead (7-4 in League IV) and winning pitcher Rob Allen threw a five-hitter allowing one walk while striking out five to drop Hills West to 8-3 in league play.

Southold/Greenport 6, Port Jefferson 1

Game Highlights:

In another key game for the Clippers, junior pitcher David Kubiak allowed only three hits and one walk while striking out a career-high 11 batters to lead Southold/Greenport (8-6 in League VIII) past Port Jefferson (7-7).

Tuesday, May 2

Riverhead 13, Newfield 1

Game Highlights:

Senior ace Laurie Edwards pitched her first no-hitter of the season and sixth of her impressive career to lead Riverhead to another win. This win was extra-special as it qualified the Lady Blue Waves (9-3) for the playoffs. Edwards did not walk a single batter as three Riverhead fielding errors accounted for all of Newfield's base runners. Edwards, the top hitter on the team, helped her cause with another big game, going 4-for-5 with a home run, her seventh of the season, along with a season-high five RBI.

Wednesday, May 3

Mattituck 11, Smithtown Christian 2

Game Highlights:

Mattituck's Taryn Boucher went 2-for-3 at the plate including a triple and two RBI as the Lady Tuckers won their eighth straight game and qualified for the playoffs. SEE STORY.

Thursday, May 4

Mattituck 4, Center Moriches 2

Game Highlights:

Alex Hyland went 2-for-3 at the plate including hitting a pair of booming doubles. She also scored twice as winning pitcher Annie Stype and the Mattituck Lady Tuckers (10-3 in League VII) stretched their winning streak to nine straight games, 10-3 in League VII.

Mattituck defeated Longwood 6-1

Match Highlights: Mattituck's Dan Kuehn defeated James Russell, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, in third singles as the Tuckers improved to 6-4 overall.
