A Pint For A Pint At Publick
The Southampton Publick House is supporting the Long Island Blood Services by rewarding blood donors with a pint of their favorite Ale or Lager in exchange for a pint of blood. Donations can be made at the Southampton Hospital anytime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the teaching center on the third floor. Afterwards, redeem a donor card for a free pint at the Publick House.
The restaurant has also just released its India Pale Ale in 12 oz. bottles, an authentic, English-style ale, fruity, well-balanced, and assertively hoppy. The Ale is available for $7.99 a six-pack at beverage distributors and gourmet markets across the Northeast.

Cinco De Mayo At Almondito
Almondito will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a Mexican fiesta this Friday beginning at 6 p.m. Specials will include $5 margaritas and $5 bocaditos at the bar all night. La Fondita Opens For 2006
La Fondita in Amagansett will open for the 2006 season this Friday. It will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday and from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. La Fondita, 74 Montauk Highway, Amagansett, 267-8800.
New Menu Items At Rowdy Hall
The lunch and dinner menus at Rowdy Hall in East Hampton just became a little more delectable. New items on the lunch and dinner menus include grilled asparagus with grana padana ($9) a Pork Milanese Sandwich ($11), a baby beet salad with mache, toasted walnuts, Maytag blue cheese, and sherry vinegar-walnut oil vinaigrette ($11.50), and vegetarian chili with butternut squash, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and onion and housemade corn bread ($15). J.L. East Reopens
J.L. East in East Hampton will reopen for the season today at 5 p.m. With new chef Peter Dunlop (formerly of the American Hotel), the newly revamped menu will feature a twist on French classics such as pistachio studded country pate, traditional pot au feu with horseradish sauce, steak frites, and traditional style bouride with saffron aioli. New Chef At The Southampton Inn
Joseph Hsu has been appointed executive chef at The Southampton Inn. Hsu, an American Chef Federation certified executive chef, will oversee the a la carte breakfast and dinner service at the Inn's newly renovated courtyard cafe as well as catering for weddings and corporate events. He spent the last seven years heading up four of the Laundry Restaurant's concepts, which had him working in Denver, Washington, D.C., New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
