Almond Celebrates Fifth Anniversary

Almond Restaurant in Bridge-hampton is celebrating its five-year anniversary through Sunday. To show their appreciation to the customers, during this time, owners Eric Lemonides and Jason Weiner are taking five percent off every check. What's more, every time a customer dines at the restaurant until the end of April, he or she will be eligible to enter the grand prize drawing of a trip for two to Paris.

This Sunday, the official anniversary date, there will be a celebratory soiree from 6-8:30 p.m., featuring $5 drinks and complimentary hors d'oeuvres. Almond, 1970 Montauk Hwy., Bridgehampton, 537-8885.

And The Golden Pear Turns 15

Fifteen days of promotions will mark the 15th anniversary of The Gold Pear's East Hampton cafe. Starting tomorrow, a baker's dozen of homemade bagels and muffins will equal 15 pieces. Free homemade cookies will be available tomorrow, as well. The Golden Pear first opened a cafe in Southampton in 1987, followed by East Hampton in 1991, and Bridgehampton in 1996. A fourth location will open in Sag Harbor in May. The Golden Pear Cafe, 34 Newtown Lane, 329-1600
