All Things Almond

Almond's executive chef Jason Weiner will be demonstrating and sharing his shrimp and asparagus risotto recipe at the Loaves and Fishes Cookshop in Bridgehampton this Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. There is no charge. For more info, call 537-6066.

Back at the Bridgehampton restaurant, they're celebrating their five-year anniversary. To show customer appreciation, owners Eric Lemonides and Jason Weiner are taking 5% off every check throughout April. As well, every time a customer dines at Almond, he or she will be eligible to win a grand prize drawing for a trip for two to Paris, France.

On April 30, Almond will host a celebratory evening featuring a $5 (that's right, just five bucks) three course prix fixe all night. Reservations are a must. Call 537-8885.

Southampton Inn Special Dinner

To showcase its new executive chef, Joseph Hsu, and its expanded catering capabilities, The Southampton Inn will host a special dinner this Saturday from 5 to 9:30 p.m., open to the public, displaying Hsu's culinary talent.

Starters will feature yellowfin tuna carpaccio, brie almondine, and soba bowl. Main courses will feature seafood crepes, local free range chicken, Thai crab cakes, and mustard pretzel lamb. For your sweet tooth, you'll love strawberries and cream or a peach Napoleon.

Café Max Prix Fixe

This Saturday, Café Max, the Unhampton, along with the early seating, at 9 p.m. will resume serving the Hamptons Restaurant Week three-course $19.95 special. Its special discounted wine selection and its regular menu and wine list will also be available. Call 324-2004 for reservations.

The Laundry Relocates

The Laundry Restaurant is relocating to the former Farmhouse/Spring Close House property, at 341 Pantigo Lane, and will open in early May. Tracy Bonbrest and Stuart Kreisler retain ownership of the restaurant, who have operated the eatery since 1980. Call 329-0050 for more information.
