Oops

"Oops," an art exhibition by Haim Mizrahi will take place at Ashawagh Hall in Springs this weekend. An opening reception will be held on Saturday from 4 to 8 PM. On Sunday there will be poetry readings by local poets at 3 PM. Sponsored by Vered Gallery. For info call 631-827-3902.

Spring Preview

The Tulla Booth Gallery in Sag Harbor presents "Spring Preview: A Forecast of our Summer Season" photography exhibit. The show features Daniel Jones, Tulla Booth, Stephen Wilkes and Blair Seagram. A reception will be held on Saturday from 6 to 8 PM. The show runs through May 28.

Members Exhibition

The 78th Annual Guild Hall Artist Members Exhibition is the oldest non-juried museum exhibition on Long Island and one of the few non-juried exhibitions still offered. The Top Honor is a solo show in the Museum's Spiga Gallery. The show runs through June 4. Visit www.guildhall.org.

Romany Kramoris Gallery

Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor presents a group art show featuring work by Lianne Alcon, Casey Chalem Anderson, Jennifer Levine, Berges Alvarez, Sherry Pollack Walker and Martha McAleer. The show runs through May 5.

Fine Arts Exhibit

Art work created by students on Suffolk County Community College's Eastern Campus in Riverhead will be presented through Monday at the Eastern Campus Student Fine Arts Exhibit in the college's Lyceum Gallery.

The spring Eastern Campus Student Fine Arts Exhibit is a lively salon-style show highlighting exceptional art work featuring student works created in fine art disciplines including life drawing, drawing, 2D design, and art appreciation. There will be over 70 works on view in a variety of media and sizes. 

New York! New York!

Southold  Historical Society presents "New York! New York! It's a Wonderful Town!" an exhibition of photographic images for New York City (1912-1964). The show features the work of Charles Henry Meredith and William Steeple Davis at the Reichert Center and Gallery in Southold. The show runs through June 24. Visit www.southoldhistoricalsociety.org.

East End Realists

"East End Realists," a fine art show and sale features paintings by nine distinguished contemporary artists. The show runs through May 23 at the The Levitas Center for the Arts at the Southampton Cultural Center. Visit www.scc-arts.org.

This visually robust invitational art show and sale images include still-life, flowers, landscape, sea, sky, iconic portrait, interiors and more. East End Realists observe and interpret their vision masterfully in light and paint.

Artists include Lucille Berrill Paulsen, David Paulsen, Pam Thomson, Peter Beston, Roxanne Panero, Jane Kirkwood, Aubrey Grainger, Keith Mantell and Ann Lombardo, who acted as curator for this exhibit.

Grenning Gallery

The Grenning Gallery in Sag Harbor presents "Bretzke, Lucas & Sanders." Artwork by Kevin Sanders, Edwina Lucas, and Carl Bretzke is displayed. The show runs through May 15.

The Lure Of The Land

The Suffolk County Historical Society in Riverhead presents Fullerton's Long Island, "The Lure of the Land" exhibit. The show is a never-before-seen exhibition of over 70 large-sized historic photographs of Long Island from the legendary Hal B. Fullerton Collection in the Grand Staas Gallery. Curated by Neil Scholl and Peter Dicke. Light refreshments will be served. The exhibit will run through December 23.

Bryan Downey

Sag Harbor portrait photographer, Bryan Downey, will have a solo exhibit of 37 locals prints on display at Sag Town Coffee. Local characters include artists, writers, musicians, a sports legend, a WWII hero, pre-schoolers, Shinnecock Native Americans and more.
The show is fittingly called "LOCALS" and will run through Memorial Day. 

Downey has been working exclusively with the people of the Shinnecock and will be donating 100 percent of profit sales back to the tribe's Youth Program.

Jerry Schwabe

East Hampton artist Jerry Schwabe will be exhibiting oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings at the Quogue Library Art Gallery during the month of April. The show "Views of the East End – Real and Imagined" will run through Sunday.

Schwabe's award-winning art has appeared in many group and solo shows on Long Island and in New York City and can be found in many private collections. Art Gallery committee member Doreen Ceglia is chair of this show.

Basco Vazko

The Watermill Center presents Basco Vazko's "POST," a special, first time solo East Coast exhibition by Chilean visual artist Basco Vazko, one of the three recipients of the 2016 Inga Maren Otto Fellowship. The show runs through June 17.

Jean Caiola

East End Arts presents an art exhibit at the Riverhead Town Hall Gallery, "Journey of a Plein Air Artist," featuring the works of watercolorist Jean Caiola. The exhibition will run through May 13.

Broadbill Was King

The Suffolk County Historical Society in Riverhead presents "When the Broadbill Was King on Great South Bay." The show highlights our maritime history, local families, folk art, and bay ecology. The show will run through August 27.

Rosalie Dimon Gallery

East End Arts presents an exciting art show at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery, at the Jamesport Manor Inn featuring East End Arts members with paintings by Patricia Feiler of Mattituck and drawings by Jeanette Martone of Bay Shore.
