Life, Living and Reliving
Art Gallery at the Quogue Library presents "Life, Living and Reliving" with artwork by Ine Wijtvliet. An opening reception takes place Saturday from 2:30 to 4:30 PM. Featured will be paintings inspired by her experience during and after Hurricane Sandy. The show runs through April 28.
Art & Furniture
The Art & Furniture of Mark Larson & Dan Cramer opens the 2014 season at Pritam & Eames in East Hampton on Friday and can be viewed through July 8. The Minnesota-based artists have collaborated on a series of furniture pieces for their show, which will also include paintings and bowls by Mark Larson.Gallery hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday from noon to 4 PM.
Halsey Mckay Gallery
Halsey Mckay Gallery in East Hampton presents "Still Life With Woodpecker," an interdisciplinary group show, with works by Sarah Dornner, Paul Gagner, Ugo Rondinone, David B. Smith, Ryan Steadman, Torey Thornton, Lisa Williamson and Kevin Zucker. Also on display "As the Crow Flies," An Hoang's first solo exhibition with the gallery. Concerned Citizens of Montauk present "Fish Guy," a photo presentation by Chris Paparo at the CCOM office on Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM. Paparo has been exploring the waters of Long Island for over 25 years.
The Southampton Cultural Center presents "Winners Circle," the third annual juried awards exhibition running through April 18 at the Levitas Center for the Arts at Southampton Cultural Center. Artists include Susan Newmark, Christina Stow, and Charles Yoder. Exhibit Juror is Helen Harrison, Director, Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center. The show is curated by Arlene Bujese.
The Drawing Room
On view at The Drawing Room in East Hampton through Sunday, selected works by Caio Fonseca, Christine Hiebert, Sharon Horvath, Robert Jakob, Mel Kendrick, Diane Mayo, Alan Sheilds, and Donald Sultan. The gallery is also pleased to introduce new sculpture by New York artist Adrian Nivola, whose intricate constructions offer a spirited homage to the flying machine. His sculptures in wire, linen, paper and found elements will be featured in a forthcoming one-person exhibition.
This four week group installation includes paintings, drawings, sculpture and printed editions highlighting the rich potential each artist has mined from his or her inventive use of materials.
