Josh Levine Dinner
Edible School Garden Program and the Joshua Levine Memorial Foundation's annual dinner will take place at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor on April 6. In November 2010, a tragic tractor accident took the life of young farmer Joshua Levine at Quail Hill Farm in Amagansett. The Joshua Levine Memorial Foundation (JLMF) www.joshualevinefoundation.org was founded shortly after Josh's death in 2011 to identify and support charitable programs which promote good farming practices, healthy eating, education and a sustainable environment.
The Josh Levine Memorial Annual Dinner celebrates the efforts made by community partners to reverse trends which have made families ill with diet related diseases and obese through unhealthy eating practices. It also celebrates the life of a young man who saw the value of working the land, growing food, serving the community and providing a healthy environment for his family.
