Collectors Choice

Vered Gallery opens "Collectors Choice," a collection of paintings by Contemporary and Modernist artists, along with continuous screenings of Modernist and Surreal films from the 1920's-1930's. Artists include Modernists Avery, De Kooning, Graham, Hartley, Man Ray, Bellows, Birchfield and; Contemporaries Slonem, Caesar, Handler, Miller, Stern. Film screenings run continuously 11 AM to 5:45 PM.

Material Matters

"Material Matters" art exhibit opens at Levitas Center for the Arts at Southampton Cultural Center with a reception Saturday from 5 to 7 PM. The show runs through November 17.


Rogers Memorial Library Gallery presents "Legacy," acrylic paintings by Louis Puglisi. Opening reception Sunday from 3 to 4:30 PM.


North Shore Art Guild

The Southold Historical Society will host an exhibition featuring artworks by members of the North Shore Art Guild at the Cosden Price Gallery in the Society's Reichert Family Center. The exhibit of original works will be on display through Saturday.


Art Gallery at the Quogue Library's October 2013 exhibit is open with "Shadowplay," mixed media by Michael Yurick. The show will run through October 29.

The Drawing Room

The Drawing Room in East Hampton presents Robert Dash exhibit "From Blue Hill" and Chuck Holtzman's drawings and wall architecture. Both exhibits run through November 4.

Crazy Monkey

The Crazy Monkey Gallery features the art of two members, Lance Corey and June Kaplan, and a group show by several of the artist cooperative members. The exhibition will be on view Thursday through October 27.

Kingdom Animalia

"Kingdom Animalia," curated by Kathy Zeiger is on display at Dodds and Eder in Sag Harbor. Artists include Caitlyn Shea, Colin Goldberg, Dan Welden, David Bonagurio, Llewelynn Fletcher, Marc Dimov, Rachel Meuler, Roz Dimon, Scott Bluedorn, Vito DeVito and Will Ryan with animal inspired art. The show runs through November 10.

Neoteric Fine Art

Neoteric Fine Art in Amagansett presents "Moby Dick," in conjunction with  Janet Goleas' "The Moby Project." Neoteric's exhibition is a comprehensive visual reaction to the themes of the classic American novel, in the form of painting, sculpture, installation and performance. The show runs through October 18.

"Women Painting Women

"Women Painting Women," a group show of 30 women curated from entries of 400 Women from around the Globe will take place at Richard J. Demato Fine Arts Gallery in Sag Harbor. The show will run through October 17.

Philippe Heurtaux

Monika Olko Gallery in Sag Harbor presents "A Splash Of France In Sag Harbor" with paintings by Philippe Heurtaux. The show runs though Monday. Call 631-899-4740 for more info.

Jazz Age

Jazz Age East Hampton (1919-1933): Clothes, Clubs & Contraband at the Clinton Academy Museum is on display. The East Hampton Historical Society has sourced over 80 images of life during America's "last fling" – from the local gentry to the famous folks that had already begun embracing the East End. 

In addition to photographs, they will create vignettes of period fashion, decorative arts and even display a 70 year old contraband bottle of liquor. A special section will be devoted to the Ladies Village Improvement Society (LVIS) Fair and the Maidstone Club. The exhibit will run through Sunday.

Fabulous Fish

Southampton Historical Museum and Research Center presents the art exhibit, "Fabulous Fish," sculptures by John Rist, Jr. at Rogers Mansion. The show runs through November 2.

Charlotte Park: The 1950s

"Charlotte Park: The 1950s," a selection of paintings by a close friend and colleague of Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner, will be on view at the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center through October 31. The works are lent courtesy of the artist's estate, by private collectors, and by the Parrish Art Museum.

Chuck Close

"Chuck Close: Recent Works" is on display at Guild Hall. The show runs through Monday. Visit www.guildhall.org.

Joel Perlman

Guild Hall in East Hampton presents Joel Perlman's sculptures, on display in the Frieda and Roy Furman Sculpture Garden. The scupltures will remain on display through October. Visit www.guildhall.org.
