Shop at Sunset

This year's "Shop at Sunset," a shopping benefit for The Retreat domestic violence services agency, will occur tomorrow between 5 and 8 PM along Main Street in both Sag Harbor and Bridgehampton and along Main Street and Newton Lane in East Hampton. Stores along these main shopping streets will provide music, snacks, or gifts—while pledging a portion of their proceeds from the night's sales to The Retreat. The event will end with a showing on a large screen of the family-friendly classic movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, at Herrick Park in East Hampton at 8:30 PM.

Guild Hall Summer Gala

The Guild Hall Summer Gala celebrating Chuck Close is on Friday from 5 to 11 PM. The event will include music, dancing, dining, and an exhilarating live art auction all held at the breathtaking Bridgehampton estate of Louise and Leonard Riggio.

Love Heals

"Let's Misbehave" to Benefit Love Heals, the Alison Gertz Foundation for AIDS Education, will take place on Saturday from 7 to 11 PM at Wolffer Estate in Sagaponack. Co-chairs of this year's event are Hilary Rhoda, Nicole Trufio, Samantha Marcus Yanks, Chele Chiavacci and Richard Farley, Howard Horowitz, Dini von Mueffling and Ted Sann. Two hundred celebrities, socialites, media elite and Hamptons trendsetters will enjoy libations, supper, and dancing in the vineyard at Love Heals 17th consecutive summer Hamptons event. Battle For The Elephants

A special screening of National Geographic's Battle for the Elephants hosted by its writer, producer and director John Heminway, along with Donna Karan will take place at Guild Hall on Saturday beginning at 6:30 PM. Authors Night

East Hampton Library's 9th Annual Authors Night will take place on Saturday at the Gardiner Farm in East Hampton. The evening's founding co-chairs Alec Baldwin and Barbara Goldsmith will be joined by honorary co-chairs Robert A. Caro, Nelson DeMille, A.M. Homes, Robert K. Massie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Joseph E. Stiglitz and more than 100 distinguished authors.

East End Hospice is a beneficiary of the 65th Annual Artists Writers Softball Game. A Pregame Party will take place on August 16 from 6 to 8 PM at LTV Studios in Wainscott.

Pink Apron

"Iron Chef America's," Alex Guarnaschelli will serve as celebrity chef chair and Anne Burrell, chef and TV personality, will serve as celebrity chef host and MC for the "Pink Apron Celebrity Chef Event," to benefit the Ellen Hermanson Foundation, The Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at Southampton Hospital and Ellen's Well which provides psychosocial services to those diagnosed with breast cancer, their families and friends on August 17 at 7 PM.

Christie Brinkley, B. Smith and Dan Gasby will serve as honorary chairs. Emma Stone, Nacho Figueros, Kelly Klein and Steven Klein will serve on the celebrity host committee. Twenty three other renowned female chefs from the Hamptons and New York City will participate in this incredible food lovers event.

Paddle & Party

The second annual summer "Hamptons Paddle & Party for Pink" fundraiser, benefiting The Breast Cancer Research Foundation will be an event in two parts, a multi-skill level paddle boarding race and benefit party on August 17. The party co-hosted by prominent New Yorkers Lisa and Richard Perry and full-time Hamptons residents Maria and Larry Baum. Ellen's Run 5K

Ellen's Run 5K celebrates 18 years of leading the fight against breast cancer on the East End with its annual race/walk at 9 AM on August 18, starting and ending at Southampton Hospital. The Foundation is the principal funder of the Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at Southampton Hospital which serves the entire East End of Long Island where breast cancer diagnosis and mortality rates are among the highest in the state.

The race/walk starts and ends, rain or shine, at Southampton Hospital's Parrish Hall on Harrick Road.

Day-of-race registration is $40 for everyone. Pre-registration is available for $30 at www.ellensrun.org and at Parish Hall 9 AM to noon on August 18. Pre-registration for children and seniors is $25. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges from friends and family to help raise funds for the Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at Southampton Hospital and breast cancer patient support services.

Seafood Festival

On August 18 at 6 PM the Community Action of Southold Town (CAST) will be holding its seventh annual Seafood Fest at Founders' Landing in Southold. This fundraising event helps to support CAST in its mission of promoting self sufficiency and providing a safety net for those in need in Southold Town. The vision of CAST is to have a vibrant town, where all residents can prosper with employment opportunities, the ability to feed their families and educate their children. The event will be held at The Wharf House at Founder's Landing in Southold. $50 per person.

Maureen's Haven

Maureen's Haven, the East End human services organization that provides shelter and support to homeless adults on Long Island's North and South Forks, has announced that renowned television actress Susan Lucci and her son, golfer and reality TV star Andreas Huber, will serve as honorary chairs of the organization's annual Lobster Bash fundraiser. Dunk Your Kicks

The Max Cure Foundation presents "Dunk Your Kicks" a three on three basket ball tournament on August 24 at the Ross School in East Hampton. Rock Around The Clock

Rock Around The Clock Benefit Dance with DJ Louis del Prete will take place at Riverhead Polish Hall on August 30 from 8 PM to midnight. The evening benefits the Hamptons Dancers AARP Community Group, which provides free or low cost dance, movement and wellness programs for seniors, those with HIV/AIDS, Parkinson's and other chronic illnesses. Box Art Auction

More than 75 of the finest artists on Long Island's East End have again created memorable art boxes for an auction benefiting the East End Hospice. The 13th Annual Box Art Auction will take place on September 7 at the Ross School Center for Well-Being on Goodfriend Drive in East Hampton.

The silent auction will begin at 4:30 PM with a live auction at 6 PM. All proceeds will benefit East End Hospice, which provides care for terminally ill patients, their families and loved ones living on the North and South Forks of Long Island, including the Eastern Suffolk County townships of Brookhaven. The Box Art Auction is East End Hospice's only summer event in East Hampton.

Admission to the September 7 benefit auction is $75, which includes wine and hors d'oeuvres.

The public is invited to a free preview "Meet the Artists" reception at Hoie Hall at St. Luke's Church in East Hampton (18 James Lane) on August 28 from 5 to 7 PM. Prior to the auction, the boxes will be on view at Hoie Hall on August 28 and 29 from 10 AM to 4 PM.
