Neoteric Fine Art
Neoteric Fine Art in Amagansett presents the "Neoteric Symposium," a show-and-tell of multiple presentations by local people on a variety of interesting topics on Friday from 7 to 11 PM. Based on the popular "PechaKucha" format (as presented by the Parrish Art Museum), the symposium will aim to provide a forum for ideas and introduce the people behind them. For the second part of the night, local singer and songwriter San Joaquin will perform from his newly released album Zeroisms from 9 to 10:30 PM. This combined event is a fundraiser for further aid to Hurricane Sandy charities, with a suggested donation of $10.
"The Artist's View," a new monthly series of Friday evening talks by artists, will kick off at 6 PM on Friday at the Parrish Art Museum, when Malcolm Morley will deliver a gallery talk in his acclaimed exhibition Malcolm Morley: Painting, Paper, Process. Visit www.parrishart.org.
The Drawing Room
The Drawing Room in East Hampton presents the gallery's third exhibition of abstract oil paintings by longtime East End resident Robert Harms, opening Saturday. Also opening, a selection of works from the 1960s and 1970s by Stephen Antonakos, renowned for his groundbreaking neon installations, panels, and site-specific public works. Both shows runs through March 3.
Works by John Berg are on display at Wasserstein Gallery at Guild Hall in East Hampton. Berg was the Art Director for Columbia Records. He was nominated for 29 Grammys and won four. In a 25-year career with Columbia Records, he designed over 5000 record covers. Through February 24. Visit www.guildhall.org.

Light and Land
"Light and Land," impressionistic oil landscapes by Bridgehampton artist Bobbie Braun, is on display at the Art Gallery at the Quogue Library through January 29.
