OPENINGS

Mixed Media

East Hampton artists Abby Abrams, Patricia Feiwel, Elise Platt, Gabriele Raacke, Catherine Silver, Joyce Silver and Rose Zelenetz will exhibit their mixed media works at Ashawagh Hall on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday the exhibit will be open from noon with an artists' reception from 4 to 7 PM. The exhibit will open on Sunday from noon to 4 PM. Dennis Leri is curating the works for the exhibition. All the artists have attended his 3-D Mixed-Media workshop and will be exhibiting works created at/or inspired by that experience.

HIFF Posters

The Hamptons International Film Festival is celebrating 20 years with a retrospective of artist posters. Over the past two decades the Festival has featured the work of internationally celebrated artists in its annual official artist poster. These posters have showcased the conventions and clichés of the film poster form, using the interplay between art and film to extraordinary effect. Posters on display include works by artists such as Cindy Sherman, Donald Sultan, Julian Schnabel, Barbara Kruger, Dan Rizzie, Jim Gingerich, David Salle and Billy Sullivan. An opening reception is Saturday at 5 PM at the Peter Marcelle Gallery in Bridgehampton.

The Inner Lense

"The Inner Lense," A group show of young and emerging photographers at Neoteric Fine Art in Amagansett will have a closing reception on Saturday from 5 to 8 PM. The show features photographs by Mia Berg, Daniel Cabrera, Josh Cohen, Maggie Harrsen, Hailey Kohlus, Kate Petrone, Yaan Pessino, and Ingrid Silva.

Plein Air Peconic

Plein Air Peconic VII, the annual exhibition and sale of paintings and photographs of East End landscapes, featuring land conserved by the Peconic Land Trust is on display at the South Street Gallery in Greenport. Richard J. Carol Gold

Past and Present

"Past and Present," a group exhibition, is on view at the Silas Marder Gallery in Bridgehampton through Sunday. The artworks included in the exhibition document the passing of time.
